Each Sunbrella chair cushion is filled with a 2 1/2" thick, comfortable thermal bonded polyester core. This unique combination of materials results in reliable quick drying, mold and mildew resistant and fire retardant cushions.

 

Shorea wood is a tropically grown hardwood that is ideal for outdoor applications.  Its characteristics are quite similar to teak wood -- densely grained, heavy, and naturally resistant to rot, mildew, and insects.  In fact, due to its high oil content, shorea wood has been used for centuries in ship building and exterior house construction.

 

If left untreated, shorea wood will naturally weather to a silver-gray color over time; however its durability and strength will not be affected.  If you prefer the natural look of the wood, it is best to apply teak oil (available at most hardware stores) on a regular basis to maintain the color.

Warranty: There is a one-year warranty against structural failure, provided the furniture is assembled correctly and is subjected to normal use and against wood rot and insect infestation. Structural failure after incorrect assembly, variations in wood color due to weathering, roughness, and non-structural cracks or splits are not warranted. Please note that Oxford Garden can not be liable for failure caused by abuse, neglect, or the application of paint or polyurethane.
