and remembering to use waterproof furniture covers is the first step
to keeping your garden
table from the worst thing for it – extreme wetness.
In order to keep your garden table from being ruined you should protect
you wood tables at the start of each season with an appropriate sealant.
You should also make sure that your wood garden table does not stand
on grass for too long at one time. Over time, the moisture from the
ground can rot untreated legs. If you have no other choice but to
place it in grass, make sure that you treat the legs for hours before
you set it out there.
If you get spills on top of your wood garden table, it is important
that you not only wipe it up, but also dry it. Do not assume that
the sun will dry it. The wood could take all day to dry and in that
time pollen could form a sticky film on your table.
Every two weeks you should clean your wooden garden table with soapy
wood cleaner. Be sure to clean well in the places that are a little
extra sticky or stained.
If you follow these tips, your garden table will stay in better shape
and will be useable for years.
