 Vintage
Adirondack chairs are replicas of the chairs created more than
100 years ago by Thomas Lee as he vacationed in the Adirondack forest
in New York.
Because Lee wanted comfortable chairs he could use around his summer
home, he began to try to create a new kind of chair. Today, we know
his creation as the vintage Adirondack chair.
He began nailing boards together, but included on each chair wide
arm rests. He then asked family members to rest out each of the chairs.
The wide arm rests are still visible today on every vintage Adirondack
chair.
Vintage Adirondack chairs are now available in any color of the rainbow.
These chairs can be useful at a number of places, like campgrounds,
lawns, porches, cabins, bed and breakfasts, as well as private homes.
